What means this failure??

Trying to run a backup machine while my main one is bollixed worse than
usual, I get this error message when I try to launch Epiphany (under FC5) : 

Startup failed because of the following error:
Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-ew4gLGoRks: Connection refused

What does it mean, and what can I do about it?? I run privoxy, but that
seems not to be the problem ....
