[Epiphany] Middle Click New Tabs Question

Now if I middle click on a link, say a gz file.  Epiphany will open a new
tab, and then say "Browser can't open file, blah blah" and if I select
"Save" it will download the file, or "Open" will open it in another app.
But the black tab will stay open with the URL of the unviewable file in
it.  Is it possible to make epiphany not open the useless tab in
situations where the URL points to a file it can't handle?
