It's no problem if you can't contribute code.
There's many non-coding stuff happening too.

For example, eog's documentation needs a little update after the recent
UI overhaul. You can check this page for ways on how to become
involved: https://www.gnome.org/get-involved/

The page is generally about the GNOME project, but as eog is part of
GNOME this applies to eog as well mostly.

Also, if you can do Python, eog has a plugin interface that allows
Python plugins. Maybe you have an idea for nice plugin.
