eye of gnome properties

If I click on an image file via Nautilus and select properties I can
view any attached notes on the file. If I use eye of gnome and select
properties this option is not available.
Would it be possible to include this in newer versions of eye of gnome ?
(I'm currently using version 2.30.0 the default version for Ubuntu Lucid
Lynx).
