Not supporting Animated GIF.

Though eog fits my need very dreadfully, but I found that an function that may be implanted in the future.
That it doens't support animated GIF files, which is also massively used in comics and demonstrations of softwares.
Or does it already support this file format but has some options hidden somewhere that I'm not aware of ?
