Question about EOG and Clutter

I see that there was some discussion about incorporating clutter into
EOG, is that still in progress?  I had an idea of using clutter to make
picture scrolling have a coverflow look to it.

There would be a stack of pictures to the left and right of the current
picture and when the user clicked next/previous or pressed the
left/right arrow the current picture would fly to the appropriate side
and the next picture would slide over to the middle and increase in
size.  If the user doesn't want the image collection the picture would
just fly off and fade out while the new picture would fade in and slide
into the middle.

Does this sound like a good idea?
