Re: GNOME 3.14 Release Video Draft 1

That was amazing! I'm so impressed.

Some things:

- I don't understand what the new animations are in the "Switching Tabs"
part at 0:25.
- At 0:55 I don't know if everyone will understand that the woman
kicking means "OPW". Could you put the words underneath? Additionally,
it appears that the woman kicking image isn't used on the wiki, and
instead the purple cat thing is. Maybe that should be used instead?
- The beige background used when showing weather, maps, and photos looks
strange when the rest of the video has the blue tiled background.
- At 1:09, the clip fades before my eyes can read 'Open with Google'
- 1:12 the clip for weather says "Unknown". Can you get a clip that
doesn't say that? Need help?
- at 1:20 when showing off the weather/calculator search providers, the
two clips are right after each other and it's hard to see what's going
on. Perhaps a fade after one and before the other would help.
- 1:24 I would leave the clips of mines and sudoku in being played in
the foreground for a little bit longer. A slightly longer clip that
shows a bit more of how hitori is played would be good too. (Also,
what's with that weird black clip?)
- 1:56 is really blurry. Is there a high resolution clip? Do you need
help with that?
- 2:22 Debian already has 3.14 in Unstable, so it'll be in Testing very
soon, and should definitely be in the in "Fall" section. Also, Ubuntu
GNOME will get 3.14 when Ubuntu gets 3.14 and that's probably going to
be in the spring (not the winter) since Ubuntu 14.10 is using 3.12.
Also, the timeline faded away too quickly IMO.

Hi engagement,

I finally have an early prototype of the release video ready to share
with you. There are many items on my non-existent todo list which I will
fix within the next 24 hours. Could you help me find more?

Here's what I need help finding:
- Any non-obvious visual issues.
- if any of the video isn't clear to understand.
- if you find any of the animations to have problematic content.

The video should hopefully be finished around tomorrow before 18:00 CET.
