Hi all, Attached the announcements for the Desktop Summit Sponsorship. As you know, Intel, Collabora and SUSE will be the main (Platinum and Gold) sponsors, hence we'd like to let you know that these announcements will go out on the Desktop Summit press channels on Tuesday, 15:00 UTC. We'd appreciate it if you would either issue your own or echo these announcements. Any input or suggestions are of course welcome. Greetings, Jos Poortvliet & The Desktop Summit TeamMeeGo is an open source project, hosted by the Linux Foundation and led by a steering group; it is not an Intel project. Thus, the quote from the MeeGo Community Manager speaking for Intel is confusing and should be clarified. He's an intel dude, and his job title is "MeeGo Community Manager".
Ok, Dawn is actually a 'dudette', sorry for that mistake ;-)
Like I'm SUSE employee and my job title is "openSUSE Community Manager". Nokia also has an "MeeGo Community Manager", like openSLX also has an "openSUSE Community Manager". It's just a job title which only implies what he does at Intel, nothing else. I don't see the problem, to be honest. Moreover - if it WAS a problem you'd expect Intel's MeeGo community manager to be especially sensitive to it. As well as Intel's marketing team, which has approved this quote. I'd rather not make a fuss about it.Carl<p>We are pleased to announce that the Desktop Summit 2011 in Berlin will be supported by Intel as Platinum sponsor.
