Actually I think there's a good push moving forward on GNOME 3.0 that started at the user experience hackfest, moved into the Boston Summit and is now being discussed by the release team.
We plan to present "GNOME 3.0" plans (or plans for plans) to the advisory board in a couple of weeks.
That said I don't know the details to share but hopefully those involved will continue blogging and will post to appropriate mailing lists.

Unless you actually have some "representative from GNOME 3.0" lined up,
I don't think it's wise to mention it. At the moment it doesn't look
like any push for "GNOME 3.0" will actually happen soon (again).
