This happens at least 2-3 times a month, every month. A developer is
uploading a NEWS file and the gnome RSS creator script is not doing a
utf8_encode() (or similar) and so these non-english characters are getting
into the XML file and then the feed doesn't validate anymore. And that
breaks gnomefiles and other sites that use the feed...
Any chance someone could pre-utf8_encode the NEWS and CHANGELOG files before
adding them to the Gnome XML feed?
Hmmm... I see this happens because of copying/pasting the name of
translators/contributors, not always in UTF-8.
Anyway, I guess gnome-infrastructure mailing list is better suited for
this kind of issues.
