'Save incoming video and sound data in disk file start/stop' on the
menu could be the user interface. The saved disk file data should be
playable in Movie Player, VLC etc.
Would this feature be difficult to add to ekiga?
P.S. As far as I know incoming video and sound arrive as RTP packets and are routed to
the 'media player' function within Ekiga. Could this incoming data be
saved 'as is' in a disk file and then used by Movie Players etc again
'as is'? I would like to have a look at the code to find out, but I
don't know where to start. Source file name hints would be useful.
You are right. There is a bug report for this,
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330276. We just do not have
enough time to work on it.
The ongoing gstreamer support will probably solve this issue.
