Re: [Ekiga-list] ekiga-list Digest, Vol 65, Issue 1

No sir. It works but does not connect by showing the "remote host is off line" message. And I can run the configuration setup and adding contacts like that.I have find one more thing that when I login as a guest in Ubuntu, it connects and can call but with some shivering voice. But sometime does not connect.Ekiga is the last hope for me coz all other sip phone applications which I tried not working well as Ekiga with Ubuntu.

Thank you.

Yes.  Could you please install the debug package of ptlib?  That file is
there in fact.  Anyway, this is only to check that PTRACING is switched
off.  By the way, I looked over Linux mint web site and did not find
information about that.

The only solution to check what does not work in your communication is
to get a capture from wireshark.  Start wireshark as root, start ekiga
and in wireshark look for SIP packets, notably for REGISTER packets and
their answers.  You can also send us or me the wireshark output, but be
aware sometimes wireshark captures confidential packets too (from other
applications).

Open source code means you have access to it.  However, opal (and ekiga)
code is complex.

You need to look in ekiga and especially in opal library.

What I see here is that ekiga starts and quits immediately, without any
action.  Is that right??
