I'm getting quite fed up with trying to compile ekiga on F11.
I could download the old version again but why bother when an update is
available.
It's asking for many files that I have no other need for, files that
clutter my file system only for the sake of configuring ekiga.
I have searched, researched and installed for days and it's never
satisfied.
Found libebook finally as part of a-devel package that I don't need,
found a few other packages and now it's requesting:
checking for XV... configure: error: Package requirements (xv) were not met:
No package 'xv' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables XV_CFLAGS
and XV_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
How many more extraneous files are needed to get ekiga working.
Displeased
Roger
