   I agree with you. I saw the same line on wiki.ekiga.org for compiling ptlib. So, I preferred to write what is already mentioned. You may see yourself.

For info, in ptlib your configure line

  d. ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-plugins --enable-v4l2 --disable-oss

is identical to

  d. ./configure --prefix=/usr
