There is a later version on etch-backports (of ekiga rather than
ekiga-snapshot). I had one minor problem with installing it: the
configuration assistant, which insisted on running on first
installation, hung. That was cured by running as root first which seemed
to clear what was perhaps a permissions problem. Thereafter I could run
ekiga as a normal user. (Yes, reported to Kilian who did the port.)
