[Ekiga-list] Help with Logitech Pro 9000 and Hardy Heron

I had Ekiga running fine in Kubuntu Feisty Fawn with my Logitech Pro
9000 webcam. Now that I've installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron I have not been
able to get Ekiga to work.

Here is the output of "ekiga -d 4"--

george Omega:~$ ekiga -d 4

I also get the error message--

Error while opening video device UVC
Camera (046d:0990)

A moving logo will be transmitted during calls. Notice that
you can always transmit a given image or the moving logo
by choosing "Picture" as video plugin and "MovingLogo" or
"StaticPicture" as device.

Could not open the chosen channel.

I have downloaded the UVC driver file to ~/linux-uvc and have executed
"sudo make" with the following results:

george Omega:~/linux-uvc$ sudo make

I then ran "sudo make install" with the following results:

george Omega:~/linux-uvc$ sudo make install

When I then run "lsmod|grep vid" I get the following results:

george Omega:~$ lsmod|grep vid

george Omega:~$

But when I start up Ekiga I seem to be no closer to getting my video to
work: I get the same error message as before.

FWIW, I have successfully installed "luvcview" and it works: I can get
video from my Pro 9000. I don't know yet about audio.

What have I done wrong? Or what do I need to do next? What other
information can I provide to assist in figuring out what is wrong?

Thanks for you help and suggestions.
