That is the way unix systems work : each program loads its libraries
from the LIBRARY PATH. You can modify it by setting the appropriate
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable.

The Video4Linux plugin is correctly installed, but you have no plugin
for audio. Make sure the correct plugin for audio has been compiled. On
FreeBSD, it should be OSS. On OpenSolaris, it should be sunaudio.
