Hello again !

I am not sure you have done the right thing... In fact, as I already explained
to you, I had wrote that patch as a temporary fix and while I had no webcam to
test.
It is pretty much useless, it's just avoids the crash. I don't even understand
why the Opal guys have committed it, since I made it clear to them that
somebody with knowledge of that piece of code should check the underlying
problem.
After testing with the webcam, I found that H263 is not usable because the
context initialisation is still broken in Opal which doesn't get fixed with
that patch (the picture remains stuck). You could well just do rm -f
/usr/lib/opal-3.8.3/codecs/video/h263-1998_video_pwplugin.so and get at the
same point almost.
Finally, the bug where you posted the patch is not the same as the bug that I
am experiencing. It's a completely different code path (with the only thing in
common that both are related to H263).
You shouldn't worry about this problem, the Opal guys need to look after it.
It's not a bug in Ekiga, it's either something to do with Opal or ffmpeg...
Regards,
Guido
