Hi Ekiga gurus,
Does Ekiga support T140? Or Is anyone working on that? Any plans?
If no, I'm interested in adding this feature. :-)
Are there any comments or suggestions for that work?
Opal supports T.140 over RFC 4103 RTP as a media transport for text.
In fact, T.140/RFC4103
is the internal format used by Opal to handle text data.
SIP sessions can create and manage RFC 4103 sessions just like audio
and video.
We are currently adding a new API to Opal to simplify the management
of text sessions. This will
include the ability to manage T.140/RFC4103 sessions, or MSRP, or to
use in-band transports such
as SIP MESSAGE, H.323 UserInput or even RFC 2833.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
Craig
