Here's a quick tutorial I found while searching google that may help you:
You should probably start with a tutorial like the above. Otherwise precompiled meaning; binary or already packaged Ekiga is probably the best place to get Ekiga. If you are learning how to program in general then google should help there are also newsgroups and books to help you get started there.

Hi All,
Where we can get an Developer document of Ekiga?
You can use eclipse to write code. To compile, better type "make" in a terminal, in directory where ekiga is.
While compiling Ekiga with the ./configure in Terminal, At the ends. i am getting an error.
Here is the error message:
checking for XML::Parser... ok
checking for GTK... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.12.0) were not met:
No package 'gtk+-2.0' found
Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTK_CFLAGS
and GTK_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
If you are having difficulties compiling programs on GNU/Linux or if you
are new at this, I really suggest you using precompiled binaries.
Yes.. Its an pre complied one.. downloaded from the Ekiga site..
Where we can get an source code to complie?

Keerthi
