The mingw32-runtime provided by Ubuntu (presumably also Debian) is
outdated when compared to Fedora packages. Commit 22039 to vfw.cxx in
ptlib requires really new Win32 headers. For those who have the same
difficulties compiling it as I had, have a look at
http://wwwuser.gwdg.de/~mrickma/ekiga/mingwrt/mingw32-runtime_3.15-1_all.deb
