This particular bug was already found and fixed, in version 2.1.9:

2.1.9 is not yet in Debian nor Ubuntu. You should probably request 
either a backport or a stable release update for Ubuntu:

Alternatively, please ask the Debian easytag maintainers to update the 
Debian package, which will then automatically be synced with Ubuntu:
