I think it would be a very useful feature, especially if combined with MusicBrainz searching, as the best AcoustID fingerprints are ones that are linked to the corresponding recording on MusicBrainz.
The library provided for creating fingerprints is Chromaprint: http://acoustid.org/chromaprintIt needs raw audio data, so it probably makes sense to use another tool to decode the audio data, as I do not want to do that directly in EasyTAG.
I will not have time to work on it in the near future, but will be happy to review patches or a git branch.
