Messing around with MP3Diags fixed the genres, not entirely sure what the
issue was, but maybe the next person with this problem can fix it also.
Then I noticed that some MP3's were unmarked. It seems the NWZ-E345 only
reads ID3v2.3. Files without this version don't register as having any tags.
Going back over it with easytag allowed me to specify which version of ID3 I
wanted.
I should be good now.
Thanks all!

Hi,
easytag starts but is minimized and the only way to use it is to choose maximize. no window operation possible...why is this?
also i dont know when this started, but i everytime i tag files now the file with the number 10 isnt tagged. no tags are filled and easytag says that there is an unknown error, any idea what this might be?

Hi Simone,
are you referring to easypic or to easytag?

I cannot reproduce this here (XP, easytag 2.1.6, gtk 2.16.6). Which
version of gtk are you using?

Hi,
While engaging in one of my customary clean-ups of my music collection
I found EasyTag was missing the ability to tag Album Artists. On
checking out the mail list archive I see a number of people have
submitted patches to Jerome. However as there is no live SCM
controlled version of EasyTag it's hard for people to see if their
work has been merged.
I've taken the liberty of creating a repo on github:
http://github.com/stsquad/easytag
I've created it from the "development" series tarballs and then
applied the Gentoo patches:
easytag-2.1.6-cddb.patch
easytag-2.1.6-desktop_entry.patch
easytag-2.1.6-new_libmp4v2.patch
If Jerome releases a new tarball I'll merge it into this git repo.
EasyTag is a fantastic bit of software but I do feel the lack of a
repo makes it much harder than it needs to be for people to
contribute. My sincere hope is this repo will be quickly obsoleted by
and official SCM repo being created.
In the meantime if anyone wants to send merge requests through github
I'll happily consider including them in my tree. Github has some nice
tools for tracking forks which I can heartily recommend trying out
although of course any git repo can be merged if you don't want to
work on github.
Apologies to anyone if I didn't choose their ${PREFERRED_SCM}, I just
use git every day so it's the most familiar to me.
Regards,

Thanks a lot Alex. Someone has been needing to do this for years.
