[Easytag-mailing] CDDB lookup problems

Hi, I have been using EasyTag, it is a fantastic program. Unfortunately there
are a few problems with the CDDB lookups.

I am using EasyTAG 2.1.5. On gentoo linux.

Problem (1)
Cannot lookup a DiskID, in Manual Search. It would be so helpful to have
this feature. I often edit the full track information in grip myself, so I
usually have the DiskID at hand.

Problem (2)
Having a bizarre problem with automatic lookup for DiskID 66107517. If I
encode the wav files from this disk at lame --preset insane (CBR 320) then
automatic lookup works and returns the correct disk information.

But, if I use variable bit rate encoding of -B (max) 320kbps then the
Automatic search returns nothing.

Pretty strange if you ask me.

Problem (3)
CDDB return information is sometimes truncated. Is the return information
sent via UDP ? Sometimes it is truncated, as in part of the Track name is
cut out, not at the end, or the beginning but in the middle. Strange.

Problem (4)
Cannot seem to get manual searches to work. Shouldn't I be able to type in
the diskname or the composer name ? I just don't get this.
