Hi,
I cannot get to configure easytag to work for mp3 files. I have installed
id3lib but get this when "configure" easytag:
checking for vorbis_comment_init in -lvorbis... yes
checking for ov_open in -lvorbisfile... yes
checking for Ogg Vorbis file support... yes
checking for cos in -lm... (cached) yes
checking for FLAC__metadata_simple_iterator_new in -lFLAC... no
checking for FLAC file support... no
***
*** Warning: FLAC file support disabled, libflac missing
*** (Install libflac, libogg and libvorbis libraries to enable it)
***
checking for library containing ID3Tag_Link... -lid3 -lz -lstdc++
checking for id3lib version... configure: WARNING: could not determine id3lib
version
checking for MP3 file support... xno

The config.log file says:
onfigure:20880: $? = 0
configure:20883: test -s conftest
configure:20886: $? = 0
configure:20901: result: -lid3 -lz -lstdc++
configure:20918: checking for id3lib version
configure:20946: gcc -o conftest -g -O2
conftest.c -lz -lstdc++ -lid3 -lz -lstdc++ -lm -lvorbisfile -lvorbis -logg -lm
>&5
configure:20949: $? = 0
configure:20951: ./conftest
./conftest: error while loading shared libraries: libid3-3.8.so.3: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
configure:20954: $? = 127
configure: program exited with status 127
configure: failed program was:
However, the libid3 library installed was id3lib-3.8.3.tar.gz and it has been
installed successfully:
[lib]$ ls -l libid3-3.8.so.3
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Jan 26 19:06 libid3-3.8.so.3 -> libid3-3.8.so.3.0.0*
Any idea what is wrong?
Thanks,
Frederic
