[Easytag-mailing] 0.28 won't run?!?

Ok so I had to do a hole bunch of mp3's again and decided to just go
ahead and use 0.28 instead of 0.27.2.
It compiled fine and it starts just fine aswell ... except ... for the GUI.
In the console where I start it I get this:
oliver@valexia:~$ easytag
Starting EasyTAG 0.28 ...
Currently using id3lib version 3.8.3 ...
However no window shows up... nothing at all. what to do?
