Hi,
I'm maintaining the easytag package for Mandrake contribs, so I guess
I can help here:

This can't be true, Mandrake 9.0 has glibc 2.2.5.

Where did you get these, from the easytag page?

They seem to be incompatible with the libc from your Mandrake version.
Get packages that were compiled on a Mandrake box. In the 9.0 contribs
there are these packages:
libid3lib3.8_0-3.8.0-2mdk.i586.rpm and easytag-0.24-2mdk.i586.rpm
If you want the latest version, compile it yourself from the contrib
package sources:
Get id3lib-3.8.2-2mdk.src.rpm from a cooker mirror and
easytag-0.26-2mdk.src.rpm from contribs and rebuild first the id3lib
and then the easytag package. If you have questions regarding this
procedure, just ask me personally.
