Toolbars?

I'm not sure if this is a feature request or not, but is there any way I could enable (I don't mind messing with code) some sort of toolbar feature for Drivel?  Pretty much any standard text editor has a toolbar instead of a Format "menu"....the latter can be inconvenient.
