Christine,
No, there isn't a default template feature currently in Drivel. I
like the idea, though! Definitely something to plan for a future
release. If you have a patch to implement it, send it my way. The
only comment I'd make is that gconf isn't the best place for a large
template file; I would recommend using the drivel folder in ~/.gnome2.
Cheers,
Todd

Does drivel (I'm using version 2.0.2) currently offer any way
to create a default template for a new entry? Or a way to include
a header/footer or sig so that that feature can be emulated?
Ideal would be some way to create for example: ~/.gconf/apps/
drivel/users/myblog_3/default_format.html
That would contain a blank entry with all the pre-entered text
and html the user might want for that particular blog. (Similar to
normal.awt for abiword) It wouldn't have to actually parse the
file, just load it automatically each time a new entry is started,
probably using a call to the code to load a draft... I'm willing
to write the code to add the feature if it doesn't exist, just want
to make sure it isn't hidden somewhere I didn't see before I load
up xwpe.
