So,

your patch doesn't work, needs glib2-devel as BuildRequire.

I think bringing in autotools just to get localization is a bit pointless. I
have a patch (including dogtail.pot) with which we don't need autotools. All
that is needed is the msgfmt program to generate .mo files from .po; i used
this one:

i haven't changed the .spec file yet, though.
