The entry for "Configure a user default session" talks about
editing the file "/usr/share/AccountServices/users/<username>" file.
However this gets rewritten each reboot, so the information
is not persistent.
This is very miss-leading. There is no information about how
and why this is being gone.
I have an account which has a uid < 1000. Each time the system
is rebooted the XSession field is erased, and a SystemAccount=true
is added. Can the <1000 threshold be changed, and where is it being
determined. It does not seem to be in the /etc/login.defs file
and there is nothing directly in the /etc/pam.d/gdm-login file.
