At least for Class shape - you are not right. 
Every attribute has 2 connection points - on left and on right side.

If you are meaning a mechansm like connection pont editing like in LibreOffise Draw shapes - yes, it will be a good feature)
but current dia-xml format is not sutable fir it. Dia chould release a new vercion of format.

As was pointed out some months ago, as a workaround you can draw a line over a side of a box anchoring it to its corners.  Then you can increase the number of connection points on that line.

If there are two or three boxes to be connected on one side of the other box the connection points overlap. And you cant see Whether it's aggregate, association or even cardinality (1..1, 1..n).
Instead of fixed 8 points (4 center and 4 corners) the connection points should be any where on the perimeter of the box.

This feature I believe will make (if implemented) or break your product.

I request  to please make connection points continuos instead of just 8.
