Re: Tips for Dia

Victor,

If you use the Oultline text you can create a note that can be angled as you desire. If you make the background the same as the outline then it will be solid.

In Windows - if you select all the items in a layer and hit ctrl-c, add a  new layer and make it current, then hit ctrl-v (do not pick within the new layer at this time) you will have an exact copy on a new layer.

In Windows - You can highlight a item (or many) on one layer, strike ctrl-x, make a different layer current,  (do not pick within the new layer at this time) strike ctrl-v and it will be moved to the new layer.

Hi,
thanks a lot for Dia, it is very useful application and I like to use it for drawing structured diagrams.
I have couple tips for future development (if planned...), those functions could be useful:

- changing text orientation

- layer duplicating

- copying features from one layer to another (throught clipboard)

Best regards.
