Thank Hans - he is doing the real work. I'm only putting thing in the installer.

Which language do you prefer? If you want English, I suggest that you
switch off the translation installation during the installation process.
The mixup German/English is most probably a result of incomplete German
translations - but it could also hint at a mixup with another GTK+
installation - see below.
Some examples of which texts appear in English and which appear in
German would be helpful.

Thanks for reporting the bugs in so many details - yet I was unable to
reproduce them.
Maybe somebody else could try to reproduce them?

Did your remove your previous Dia installation prior to installation?
Do you have other
versions of GTK+ installed? E.g. Inkscape or GIMP?
