Strange vector '?'

Hi,

I've got some diagrams which, when loaded into the current SVN version 
have some vector (i.e. line drawn, not fonts) question marks (i.e. '?') 
in them.

I'd have to go back and check whether I last edited these with 0.96.1 or 
0.96+SVN but I'm fairly sure that there was no object where these were 
appearing.

Are this in response to something not understood in the diagram? Or 
something more sinister?
