Re: Constructing tables in Dia

I make a row box and a column box (with background off) then turn on the grid and the grid snap.  I place the m on the grid and then make multiple copies (ctrl-C, ctrl-V) and place the copies.

It is not too time consuming.

Of course it has none of the advantages of a real table with the ability to enter text, etc. in the "cells."

Another option is to make the table in a program that has full capability, then make a screen shot and place that as an image.

Hi everyone.

I have a question regarding the usage of Dia. Lets say I need to create
a table with columns and rows, and I don't want to draw each rectangle
by hand, or any such approach. Is there any shapes out there where one
may create a table object, double-click, and a dialog like the one in
UML-shapes appears?

If not, is it hard to construct one?
