Hello All,
a Windows installer for 0.96-pre6 is available.
Please install GTK+ 2.10 before running the dia installer:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gimp-win/gtk%2B-2.10.6-1-setup.zip
Then install Dia:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/dia-installer/dia-setup-0.96-pre6.zip
Of course, right after pre6 came out, a new fairly serious crash bug was
found:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414708
Thus there will be a pre7 once that is fixed.
I urge all prerelease testers to take a look at that bug. It nicely shows
the difference between a stack trace and a way of reproducing the bug.
With a stack trace, we can make a guess at what may have gone wrong, but
there's no way we can check if we fix it. Once we have a way to
reproduce, we can dig in with gdb, find out all the details, and we will
be able to check if our fix works.
Bottom line: When reporting a bug, a simple, consistent way to reproduce
it is worth a thousand stack traces.
