sorry, how to check the ver of a package?

before I liked to use "rpm -q", but I found that if I installed
a package from source, "rpm -q" does not show the right
information.

Could you try doing

export DEBUGGER=gdb
app/run_dia.sh
(in the debugger) run
(enter some text so it crashes and then) bt
