Creating own shapes with properties

Hello,
I want to create my own shapes. I already found the description in the
documentation and it is working fine. 
Now to my problem: I need some properties-fields, that belongs to the
shape, like at the uml-chart. There is no need for such a complex
construction like the class-shape. Something simple, similar to the
state-shape, would be fine.
Can someone tell me how to do?
