Hi, I've been using AutoDia to reverse-engineer Postgresql & MySQL simple databases and produce a UML diagram with Dia. I wanted to add the data type to the objects' attribute which I did with the modified file /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/Autodia/Handler/DBI.pm I used version 2.01 of AutoDia which is available here : http://droogs.org/autodia/download/ I think that comments could be added the same way in the diagram, if available in database structure. More info on this page http://wiki.eagle-usb.org/wakka.php?wiki=HowToDia (in French, sorry) I still have to work out how to obtain the tables relationships correctly (currently it looks for fields ending with id, which is not the naming convention I follow). This is particularly useful to document developments, insofar as databases are usually done with phpMyAdmin or phpPgAdmin, then not documented. It would be cool if there were a plugin in Dia to import this data, anyone else interested ? Perhaps for another kind of diagram ? I'd like to know if you use this kind of tool (and perhaps other modelization tools like argoUML) to generate database model and/or code : Hope this helps, just let me know. @++ Ben'. aka baud123
