I think the current answer is: use 0.90.

IMHO the user should have the choice to toggle the option to export text
as text/curves. I am using last version (today cvs) and the diagram is not
using any specific font.


My opinion too!  (Actually, I'll never use embedded or
simulated fonts.)  I think the developers plan to offer
this.
