aw!! problem #1
(with gettextize ? Which gettext do you have on your system ?)
./config.status: ./intltool-extract.in: No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat `intltool-extract.out': No such file or directory
chmod: getting attributes of `intltool-extract': No such file or directory

./config.status: ./intltool-update.in: No such file or directory
mv: cannot stat `intltool-update.out': No such file or directory
chmod: getting attributes of `intltool-update': No such file or directory
chmod: getting attributes of `intltool-update': No such file or directory
problem #2: it looks like intltoolize didn't run correctly.
Can you run it manually, checking its stdout and stderr, and see if it
produces the intltool-* scripts (in ".in" flavour) ?
Once you have the intltool-*.in scripts, re-run ./configure and check the
non-.in scripts are properly sed'ed out.
If that goes well, you should then have the necessary rules in
sheets/Makefile to build the .sheet files out of the .sheet.in files.
Have fun
