Suggestion for line property

I am missing one common type of lines, which can be describes as a wide line, with only the contours visible, 
like this:

as opposite to the common

-------------------------->


I think it can be achieved by giving one more property called say 'outlined', and the rendering is drawing 
two parallell lines with the distance width/2 from the actual line coordinates.
