GNOME 3.12 Released

The GNOME Project is proud to announce the release of GNOME 3.12.

This is an exciting release for GNOME, and brings many new features
and improvements, including app folders, enhanced system status and
high-resolution display support. This release also includes new and
redesigned applications for video, software, editing, sound recording
and internet relay chat.

Under the hood, support for using Wayland instead of X has progressed
significantly.

This six months' effort wouldn't have been possible without the whole
GNOME community, made of contributors and friends from all around the
world: developers, designers, documentation writers, usability and
accessibility specialists, translators, maintainers, students, system
administrators, companies, artists, testers and last, not least, users.
GNOME would not exist without all those people.

Thank you to everyone!

Our next release, GNOME 3.14, is planned for September 2014.

Until then, enjoy GNOME 3.12!
