Looks like Firefox 57 is not coming to stable Debian release either
anytime soon:

This sort of thing, where Debian has trouble compiling $new_thing on
$some_arch, comes up periodically.
The only concrete suggestion I have for Debian is, feel free to patch
packages that depend on librsvg to keep using 2.40.20. Nothing has
changed ABI-wise (and I don't envision adding new APIs until the Rust
port is complete), and 2.40.20 is in pretty good shape. It's just that
2.41 is much more robust in the face of bad SVGs, and it's the version
that will get development from now on.
