Yes, Antonio's right on this one, I didn't have the time yet to update CLEANFILES/MAINTAINERCLEANFILES yet, but you can simply remove tests/*.o, tests/*.c, this did work for me.

If you had cloned and built the repository some times ago and then you
updated the master branch recently with "git pull" you may have some
stale generated files, see Comment 10 on
