The default for tracker these days is:

  $HOME (non-recursively, just files in that directory)
  XDG locations (Videos, Music, Downloads, etc) all recursively.

Assuming it's not put in some random place undefined by the XDG 
locations and those locations are not broken :) it should be found by 
Tracker.
