I did some more testing. The results:
∙ Setting the value from within dconf-editor works perfect.
∙ When the value for idle-dim-battery is set or unset via
dconf-editor the following outputs always true, regardless of the
real value:
gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-battery
∙ The following does not return an error message, but the value is
in fact not changed, it stays on the value set within dconf-editor:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-battery false
∙ The following never works:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim-battery true
error message:
GLib-GIO-Message: Using the 'memory' GSettings backend. Your settings will not be saved or shared with other applications.
Failed to set value
This seems very weird to me. Any help appreciated.
Regards
Marco
