Personally I expected but have not yet seen proposals for 
      * a GOK replacement[1] (caribou?) 
      * a replacement for gnome-speech[2] (opentts?) 
      * PyGI, but that's maybe too early[3] 
      * gnome-activity-journal

Note that this is only my very personal opinion and that I am not
speaking on behalf of the release-team.
